dhf is a not-for-profit trade association for companies associated with Locks & Building Hardware; Doorsets; Industrial Doors & Shutters; Domestic Garage Doors and Automated Gates.

Over the years dhf has evolved from its beginnings in 1897 as a trade association representing the locks and building hardware industry, to representing six major industries. Because of this, each industry has its own dedicated group.

What are the aims of the association:

Continually strive to improve technical standards, safe practices, and consumer protection.
Provide a comprehensive training programme for garage door installers.
Provide support and advice to the trade and the consumer.
Work with governing bodies such as Trading Standards to eradicate non-compliant rogue traders.
